Darien Devar Washington, born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a chef with a passion for delicious food and creative cooking. As the descendent of a family rooted in the culinary arts, Darien excelled early on, winning ABC's Network "The Chew" Culinary Voice Scholarship while completing coursework towards a B.S. in Public Policy Law at Arizona State University. After changing career paths to focus on cooking, Darien studied at the prestigious Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and graduated with High Honors three years later. Currently, Darien is an esteemed Chef Consultant at Poach Social in Atlanta, Georgia while also running his own successful catering business called Delectables By Devar Services. He has been blessed to travel internationally as a celebrity chef, but also finds fulfillment closer to home through his position as Head Chef for Red Rabbit; an organization that provides healthy meals to urban brown communities around NYC. Darien’s presentation and demonstration of gourmet food are infused with American nouvelle cuisine-style cooking ( with an edgy modern twist). With his heartwarming personality and culinary prowess, Darien truly brings the joy of food to life everywhere he goes!
